Melissa Anderson, Principal
Melissa Anderson is the Founder and Principal Designer of August Lane Interiors and has spent more than 15 years helping people rethink, refresh, and reimagine the spaces they call home. She believes a home should be more than just beautiful — it should feel personal, functional, comforting, and reflective of the people living in it. Her favorite part of the design process is helping clients see their homes in a new light and creating spaces they cannot wait to come home to.
Known for her approachable style and problem-solving mindset, Melissa loves the challenge of transforming spaces in a way that feels elevated, timeless, and authentic. She believes everyone should and can have a thoughtfully curated home, regardless of budget, and that great design should support the way people truly live.
In addition to her work in interior design, Melissa built a successful career in business management consulting within the financial services industry, experience that shaped her thoughtful and highly organized approach to client service and project management.
Melissa and her husband, Chris, are happy empty nesters living in the Washington metropolitan area with their sweet pup, Savannah, who brings endless joy to their home and daily life.
